Pet Food Bank

The cost-of-living crisis is affecting our dogs and pets too. To help, donate below and join our Facebook group Dog Friendly Dorset

Merlin is proud as punch to be the poster boy to help other dogs and humans in need

Our 13 Pet Food Banks stretch from Christchurch to Portland feeding over 5,000 pet meals in Dorset. With 12 active Pet Food Banks in place within 12 months from our launch.

With fundraising efforts we hope to open more in the near future. Please donate to help us to keep going below x

BREAKING NEWS: we now support Animal Rescue centres with food, duvets, blankets, sardines (for the malnourished puppy farm dogs) and detergent for the kennels. Many Tears Animal Rescue and KS Angels Rescue are part of our portfolio of rescues. And we deliver food and dog jumpers to help the Dorchester and Weymouth homeless pets appeal.

The average spend on a dog in the UK is £150/month (including food, training and vets fees) and we aim to raise funds to help feed pets as the first priority and if you can help us go into profit, we will re-invest profits back into veterinary and training needs as the next step locally. We are a not-for-profit.

To support us please Become a Member so that we can keep doing the work we do.

You are welcome to join our Facebook group Dog Friendly Dorset to keep up to date with all our news!

See DONATIONS and PICK-UP details below where you can drop off unopened food and anything pet related or we can pick them up from you! Or you can DONATE ONLINE.

Pets are family and we want to help keep families together. If you are struggling to feed your pets, then please pop along to the food bank and take what you need. If you are visiting one of the food banks at a Community Fridge they are a fantastic place to top up your food shop and save food from going to waste. (There is no means testing and everyone is welcome).

This comes as a response to the increased pressures on pet owners due to the cost-of-living crisis. According to the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH) survey of more than 60 animal shelters across England, 92% of shelters have seen an increase in people wanting to surrender a dog compared to pre-pandemic levels, and 88% saw an increase in people wanting to surrender cats.
