REVIEWS:
Me and Juno had a great exposure session today at the dorset dogs (dog friendly dorset) stress free training that Nicky orgnaised. Anita and vicky kindly gave up time to help the dogs. I was looking for a controlled and structured place for Juno to get exposure to distractions and still engage with me for some easy win training drills. I think every dog would benefit from doing these. To learn be calm around other dogs

We had a great time on Sunday at the stress free meet-up. It was our first time and we were unsure of what to expect. It was very well organised and we were given so many good ideas and tips from the trainers. Ralph loved the activities and we were amazed how quickly he gained confidence in them. We have booked again for this Sunday 🐶

A very welcoming and lovely group. Just what we've been needing. Very glad we came and Buddy is also now enjoying the rest of the treats. Sure he will be passing out soon too! X

Jude had a fabulous time at the stress free walk Sunday. This was Judes 3rd stress free meet up and we’ve loved every single one of them! He’s made a new friend in Vicky who absolutely knows how to approach a nervous and occasionally people reactive dog. Jude loved her straight away. He also got some love from the amazing Nicky Crowe our group founder. This week Jude met the beautiful Rosie dog with her owner Karen. He got to first base with Rosie by sniffing her bum and going for a walk round the field with her. This was our choice though, for dogs that really need space, there was space in abundance. Every dog was positioned so they worked under threshold and felt comfortable. These meet ups have been so good for not only Judes confidence, but mine as well. I highly recommend them to any reactive, frustrated or over excitable dog. Or actually, any nervous owner too. The whole team are great, the lovely Jan Ryan met us from our car and took us where we needed to be, and Anita the other trainer is so friendly and welcoming.

Thank you so much for our first time and making us feel so welxome. Ziggy is now snuggling up for a well deserved snooze.

Thanks for this afternoon - Louie was much improved from last time and was much better than we’d hoped - it’s just what he needs xxx

Stress Free Meet-Ups
Thank you to our volunteers, our stooge dog Rosie and to Nurturing by Nature and Jacks Pantry who supply our training treats x
Our Meet-Ups are on-lead and led by one of our Dorset Dogs Group volunteer Trainers.
We meet in an enclosure or car park and some people bring a raised bed for their dog to work with their dog at a comfortable distance from each other. Raised beds will be provided.
This gives your dog the opportunity to feel safe and establish trust with others.
In the video the more advanced dogs move into more complex environments and you can discuss with the trainers what Life Skills classes they are offering.
Stress Free Walks
A member of the Facebook group Dog Friendly Dorset meet on-lead and continue the entire walk on lead and at a distance which is comfortable for your dog.
They aim to have a walk at places which restrict all dogs to being on-lead.
