Pinning the tail on the cat….
In a dream I analysed for a good friend of mine, she walked downstairs only to find the tail of her cat, George Michael, had fallen off on the floor. She felt no emotion, other than to try and fix it back on. [I was taken back to children’s parties and pinning the tail on the donkey when I heard this]. After trying several times she accepted that it was a lost cause.
[Can I just comment that George Michael is an awesome name for a cat].
[I was struck by how things seemed out of place in Kate’s dream. There is no trauma, just something amiss and she tries to fix it. I wonder if this her approach to something that is afoot or out of balance in her life?
At the time of Kate’s dream the moon in the sky was over her part of the natal chart where she shows out to the world, her career and I suggested she look here for this imbalance. Is she trying to fix things that aren’t quite right? The moon was also directly over her natal Mars which is this “fix it” masculine type of energy. And the moon was in a challenging position to her nodes of the moon in her relationship and communication houses. How does she communicate in relationship to others and has she felt some disconnect with her emotions and communications with partners perhaps? A disconnect to the heart maybe? Her natal Venus was also in play on this night.
And also because the moon was in Pisces at the end of Winter there is a theme of loss and transition and what messages might her subconscious be giving to her about how to navigate this period of transition and detachment (George's tail) from what is left behind to move forward. What can she let go of?
It feels like she has this sussed in the dream because she recognises that she can't do anything about the tail and moves on which feels pretty liberating to me. And she is not attached to the tail. On the flip side the sense of detachment in the dream could also point to a potential disconnect to her heart as shown above and how the “fix it” approach may compound this…
