Dog themed summer fete comes to Southbourne this September:
Four-legged friends will be able to enjoy a range of activities from bobbing for sausages, doggy dash to find the fastest dog in Dorset and the ‘famous’ sniff ’n’ find sensory zone.
There will also be a ‘Doggy Olympics’ for the chance to win trophies.
Rosettes will also be given out for the waggiest tail, best-looking dog, best trick, and most distinguished/elderly dog.
Whilst the dogs have all the fun, adults can entertain one another with a bar and market stalls from independent businesses. And there is a dog bar too! With pawsecco and herbal dog teas.
There will be a tombola, ice cream, pizza, and fish 'n' chips, provided by Cafe Riva and Co.

This event will be fundraising for our Dorset Dogs registered CIC with focus on our Pet Food Banks appeal.
This is an outdoor extravaganza designed to give your dog the best day out!
We will have games, boy will we have games: bobbing for sausages, pick ‘n mix for dogs, frozen popsicles, , paddling pools obstacle course, and our famous Sniff ‘n Find sensory zone for dogs. I mean it’s all about our dogs and the kids will go crazy for it too.
Photo opportunities, kissing booths, and stalls from local small businesses. Face painting and kids summer fete games too and ice-cream and more galore! Our professional photographer will be circulating and taking beautiful shots of your dogs on the day.

We will have a Doggy Olympics WINNERS stand with trophies! With Dog Hurdles and Doggy Dash to find the fastest dog in Dorset. Maverick won this last year! And a paddling pool obstacle course by Pawseidon Hydrotherapy… And a search and find zone.
Please only bring well socialised dogs. Dogs will be on lead except for the Doggy Olympics cordoned off areas.

T&Cs of attending:
-Dogs coming to the event must be friendly, well-socialised and up to date with their vaccinations. Please DO NOT attend if your dog has had the kennel cough vaccination within 2 weeks, as by instruction from our group vets. If your dog is showing aggression towards other dogs or humans you will be asked to leave. Dorset Dogs CIC and Cafe Riva are the organisers. Cafe Riva is the venue. All take no responsibility for your dog or its actions, you must keep them safe and if your dog harms another dog or person it will fall under your own liability.
-Dog owners are invited to let their dog off lead ONLY FOR SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES AND ONLY WHEN INSTRUCTED THAT IT IS SAFE TO DO SO, but must take responsibility for their safety and actions at all times.
-Please check your Pet Insurance to ensure your dog is covered for public liability in the event they harm another dog or person to be able to attend. Should you bring more than one dog, ensure you have enough people to care responsibly for them – suggested dog to human ratio is 2:1
-If you or your dog are harmed by someone else's dog you must resolve the matter with the dog's owner - we take no responsibility for the actions of the dogs attending.
-This is a ticketed event.
-Every adult is required to have a ticket to attend even if they are free. And every child over 12 years old.
-If you attend and do not bring a dog with you but have purchased a dog ticket it will be at the discretion of the organisers as to whether you are allowed in - you will be required to pay the additional costs to convert your ticket to the correct ticket.
-There is a strict No Refund policy in place - please ensure you are able to attend before purchasing tickets. In the event you cannot attend, you may transfer your ticket to a friend or family member.
-All queries to hello@dorsetdogs.com If the event should be cancelled you will receive a refund minus the booking fee paid. There is no booking fee for free tickets (dog tickets or Children 12 or under)
-Dogs receive free puppaccinos but all other food and drinks for humans and dogs are payable - the ticket covers entry only.
Dorset Dogs Club and Cafe Riva may film the event and footage could be used but not limited to: website, event and marketing promotion, social media content adverts and press materials. If you would like to request the removal of your image you can email hello@dorsetdogs.com but please be aware while we will endeavour to do this, on occasion we may not be able to remove footage once it has been published or used by press.
-We reserve the right to amend, reschedule or cancel the event at any time. We aim to provide suitable notice of any changes to guests.
-By purchasing a ticket to the event, you are agreeing to the above terms and guidelines.
