Pointers

German Shorthaired Pointer, German Wirehaired Pointer and the Pointer, commonly referred to as the English Pointer. There are also many more including the Griffon, Braque Francais etc.

Introduction to the breed: These breeds differ of course but they are lovable, high energy, prey driven and definitely not a first time dog owner's dog however can be amazing family pets! There are show lines, working lines and of course rescues. These dogs need training, it’s training for life agreement and they need a job. They excel at canicross, gundog work, scent work, their brains are fantastic but they need it used!

Majority of these breeds are super friendly, not much in the way of guarding and despite their energy levels they love to sleep! They can be prone to separation anxiety and recall needs to be trained! A lot! They come in a lot of colours, ex, liver, liver roan, liver and ticked, black, black roan, black and ticked, the english have lemon colours too! None are extreme shedders however they are all different! These are stunning, intelligent dogs but they need time and exercise, however they are fantastic and are starting to be used more in military/police work.
