Stress Free Walks on a lead in the New Forest
We want to provide you with the option of a Stress Free walk at a remote location in the New Forest (address to be confirmed 2 days before the event).
This is a 4 week block booking with a maximum of 5 dogs in a session. It means we can have a group of dogs who get to know each other from a distance over the weeks helping both human and dog to relax more.
£25 per walk - paid in a block payment of £99.
Dogs will meet our volunteer co-ordinater Austin who has experience of reactive dogs but who is not there to give any training or behaviour advice (if you need this then please come to our other meet-ups above). A stooge dog Rosie the leonberger will be there with her mum Karen. Rosie is beautifully calm and experienced at these types of walks.
Arrive at the meeting spot and keep at least 5m apart or further if your dog is showing any signs of not coping (e.g. fixed stare, tense body, tail between the legs or tail up high and rigid, any stress signals or reactivity). Our co-ordinator will lead you on a walk at a safe distance where your dog remains under their threshold of coping. All dogs are on lead.
This is a no judgement walk. However if it is noticed that your dog cannot cope at all with this set-up and is getting very distressed and distraught you will be advised to leave to go home and helpmyoyr dog decompress. Please only apply if your dog can cope at a reasonable distance from other dogs on a walk. If they cannot cope our Meet-up above would be more suitable as we have the space to accommodate their needs at a greater distance.
This walk is also suited to hyperactive or over-socialised dogs who would benefit from learning how to walk calmly with other dogs without engaging with them.
Please apply below by filling in the form and make payment. If you do not make it through the application process you will be issued a refund but other than that we do not offer any refunds or exchanges. Many thanks.
